Benny
for piano, interactive electronics, and video

Inspiration can come from strange places, such as a discussion on televangelist Benny Hinn followed by a road trip in which Elton John's "Bennie and the Jets" came up three times on a randomized playlist. Such was the inspiration for Benny. I thought it would be an interesting experiment to combine these two wildly different elements, one which I very much enjoy, and another that I do not. I will leave it to the listener's interpretation to decide which is which.
